Roman Comedy Story Outline Format
- Have the characters meet in a cute or portentous way. The Adolescent falls in love with the Maiden.
- It is revealed that she is a slave, and/or she is being pursued by someone else, or otherwise unavailable for matrimony.
- A minor character comes up with a plan to overcome the issues which separate them.
- The plan doesn’t work and leaves the adolescent frustrated.
- A second plan is proposed which involves some ludicrous elements.
- The adolescent tries the new plan but it goes very badly and he ends up imprisoned.
- The wise servant arranges for his release and reveals how he has been behind the events occurring in the secondary plot.
- The couple marries or departs to marry offstage.
- If your team has completed the story summary, please also begin work on the secondary plot.
- Your work should be submitted as a google doc link on your homework check-list.
