Prepare: Roman Social/Cultural Presentations:
Please disregard the syllabus instructions for these presentations
Instead...
We will be having a Roman-style meal and you will be sharing an item as part of that meal. As such, this presentation will be very conversational. Please bring one or more of the following:
A. Roman clothing
B. A Roman food item
C. A Roman poem or story
D. Do your hair in a Roman style
E. An example of Roman music or song.
Be prepared to discuss your item in a conversational manner.
This book includes
recipes and historical information that make for very interesting reading (and
recipe experimentation!) for students looking for further information on the
topic.
Reading Journals and posts ARE due. If you attempt a recipe please journal about your experience.

Does this mean we don't have to prepare a speech, just bring in an item?
You'll still have to discuss the item, however it will be done informally in a conversational setting.
How long would you like our discussion to be?
Would you like our social/cultural presentations to have one of the 8 recipes in it?
Can we find something that isn't on the article to show?
@Madelyn, it shouldn't be more than a 2-4 minutes. You may make one of the recipes, however please post it on the blog if you're planning on making one from the list.
@Rebekah Yes!
Can we do more than one recipe???
@Rebekah Yes!
I think I will do the recipe called nut tart if its ok
Are we supposed to journal about the recipe that we made this week???
Hi Rebekah! Mr. Parker said if we made a recipe we should journal about it.
